The Cape Girardeau Conservation Center will be having its Second Annual Hawk Watch this Saturday at Knob Lick Towersite, just South of Farmington. Assistant Center Manager Steven Juhlin tells KZIM KSIM the event is open to anyone and there will be transportation available from the Nature Center. He says there will be different Birders out there who know what birds of prey look like at a distance. They will also be able to identify key characteristics on what to look for when trying to identify birds of prey. Juhlin says that thousands of birds of prey are migration south as far as South America, and this will be a sight to be seen. The event is from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free to the public.
