An accident involving a dump truck is responsible for the loss of electrical power to commercial customers in west Cape Girardeau.  Ameren Missouri spokesperson Kent Martin says that at about noon today/Wednesday, a dump truck was traveling on Shirley Drive with its bed raised. It made contact with a power line that hung over the road and pulled it down, resulting in a power outage to 33 commercial customers in west Cape Girardeau. No residential Ameren Missouri customers were affected by the outage.  Martin says repairs are being made to the damaged line and power should be restored shortly.
