A Southeast Missouri man was sentenced in Pocahontas and Old Orchard robbery cases

One of Two men charged with robbing the Bayou Grill in Pocahontas and Amerimart in Old Orchard has been sentenced. In May, Sheriff’s investigators arrested 20-year-old Nicholas Adam Zuccarini of Altenburg and 19-year-old Kellen Michael Johnson of Oran for burglary and stealing.  Zuccarini was formally charged with burglary, stealing and probation violation.   Both men were charged in the March 20th burglary of the Bayou Bar and Grill in Pocahontas.  After further investigation, sheriff’s filed armed robbery and armed criminal action charges against Zuccarini and Johnson in the robbery of the Amerimart in Old Orchard on May 3rd as well.  Johnson was recently sentenced to the Cape County Jail for sixty days to run adjacent with 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Zucarini’s jury trial is scheduled for February of 2014.
