An Advance man already convicted twice of rape will go to trial in 2013 in Franklin County on a third alleged charge. 51-year-old Steven Rendleman was arrested March 18th after police responded to Liberty Hill Cemetery on Highway-K. They allegedly found Rendleman in the act of raping an intoxicated woman he took from a local bar. The suspect was able to speed away but was eventually captured. He is charged with forcible rape, sodomy, kidnapping, and attempted assault on a law enforcement officer. His case was shifted to Franklin County. Rendleman will go to trial August 28th, 2013, before Judge Gael Wood in Union. The victim was treated at a hospital. Rendleman pleaded guilty to rape in 1984 and 1990.
