The founder of Bi-State Southern Oil Company in Cape has passed away. 74-year-old Bob Blank died Tuesday. He is survived by his wife off 55-years, a son, daughter, and brother and sister. Blank started Bi-State Oil Company in the early 1970’s and ran the business for 40-years with his wife Gaye and help from his son, Scott. He also was active in the Cape community, serving on school boards, city planning and zoning commission, and Capaha Field Improvement Committee. Blank was also a large part of Boy Scouting and tree farming. His visitation is set for Friday from 3 to 8 PM at Ford and Sons Funeral Home on Mount Auburn. His funeral is Saturday at 10 AM at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church.
