Monday, DPS officers responded to a burglary alarm at JCPenny’s on S. Main in Sikeston. They discovered the west glass door shattered and a jewelry case broken. Over $1450 worth of miscellaneous jewelry items were stolen. With the help of surveillance cameras, they were able to get a possible suspect vehicle description and a possible suspect description. They located a vehicle matching the description on Branum Street near Murray Lane, and when stopped, they located stolen merchandise on the suspects. 45-year-old Nathan Williamson and 41-year-old Paul Wayne Williamson, both of Sikeston were arrested and charged with burglary 2nd degree and felony stealing. They are each being held on $25,000 bond in the New Madrid County Jail. About a third of the property was recovered, police are continuing to investigate to recover the remainder.
