A Hayti teen was arraigned Monday morning on felony charges. Hayti Police Department Chief Paul Sheckell says17-year-old Joseph L. Adams, Jr., was arrested early Friday morning for child molestation. Sheckell said the victim's family came to police on Nov. 26 and reported the incident. A warrant for Adams' arrest was issued Thursday, December 19. Police have not issued details about the incident, including the age or gender of the victim, as the investigation is ongoing. Adams was taken to the Pemiscot County Justice Center, on a $50,000 bond, which was posted. He appeared before Judge Byron Luber, who set Adams next court date for January 6th.
