Cape Public Schools are getting closer to finishing their new Richard D. Kinder Performance Hall. Monday night they awarded the audio and visual equipment contract to High-Tech Communications of Cape Girardeau. This was the last of a dozen contracts awarded as part of the 40-million dollar bond issue approved by voters in 2010. Cape Assistant Superintendent Neil Glass tells KZIM-KSIM this new facility is worth every dollar. The hall will be a 1-thousand seat auditorium that will be capable of hosting plays, concerts and a host of various events. It is scheduled to be completed by January 15th.
