Charleston police arrested a man after hearing several gunshots and finding a stolen gun.  42-year-old Terrance Webster of Harvey, Illinois, faces assault, resisting arrest, receiving stolen property and numerous weapons violations.  Officers were dispatched to 7-01 Vine Street September 1^st.  They heard several gunshots, but the suspect had fled the scene on foot.  Witnesses helped police find Webster at a nearby home.  He surrendered and was arrested. Police found a stolen gun inside the home.  Webster is being held in the Mississippi County Jail on a 75-thousand-dollar bond.  He has a court date this week in Charleston.
