Saxony Lutheran High School is growing so the need for funding is too. An annual golf tournament will help

Sep 06, 2012 -- 5:51pm

When Saxony Lutheran High School was established thirteen years ago they had seven students… They now have 1-hundred-82!!! And a record 52 freshman!!! Director of Development Rhonda Wessel says they try to keep tuition and costs as low as possible for students so they do an annual golf Classic. This year it will be held Friday, the 14th, at the Cape Girardeau Country Club Course. There are two flights: 8am and 1-30pm with a break in registration fees for the earlier flight. Wessel tells KZIM KSIM this is an all inclusive 4-person scramble with some fun contests and activities at each hole…They have a longest drive prize for men and women, a longest putt, straightest drive, and closest to the pin. Also Van Matre Buick, GMC< Cadillac is sponsoring the hole in one contest where you could win a 2012 Terrain! Wessel says there is still space – even if you don’t have a team. They can place a solo golfer with an existing trio. Call 204-7555 for more information.
