Three Rivers College now has funding to offer more fire training courses. They have received their fourth state-funded grant in less than a year. The Missouri Division of Fire Safety will release $115,000 to the college by July 1st. This is the first round of grants being awarded for 2012 and will provide skills enhancement training to firefighters as an official, non-profit vendor for the state. Three Rivers Public Safety Training Coordinator Gary Pride tells KZIM-KSIM they are excited for the new course offerings. This is the single largest grant the college has received for their fire training program. Each year the group serves several hundred firefighters statewide as a way to hone and enhance their emergency response skills.
