TODAY'S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
Stephanie Dillard, a 34-year-old mother, who crashed her car into a Houston Metro bus with her three kids in the car. She got out of the wrecked car, not to get help, but to get an ice cream at a nearby CVS. She returned; then, for no apparent reason, she started stripping. She also resisted arrest when officers arrived. The children, ages 5, 12 and 16, were not seriously injured in the crash. Oddly enough, there was no mention of alcohol or drugs in the arrest report.

AND THEN THERE'S .....
Sharon Cook, 47, who headed down to the local police headquarters, but not to report a crime. Instead, she carefully positioned herself in front of one of the building's windows and dropped her pants. Yep, she mooned the officer on duty and a woman who was waiting in the lobby. She was quickly placed under arrest. Police did not say why Cook was at the station or what led her to expose her bare butt.

OR HOW 'BOUT .....
Harvey Updyke, an Alabama man, who confessed to a student reporter while taking a lunch during his trial. Harvey is on trial for allegedly poisoning some iconic oak trees in downtown Auburn. The man and his wife, Elva, were standing outside the courthouse during a break, when Andrew Yawn, a student reporter for The Auburn Plainsman, starting asking the couple questions and taking notes. Yawn reported that Updyke said "Did I do it? Yes." He then requested that Yawn not use that quote. Updyke's wife said, "Of course he's going to use it. He's been taking notes." Updyke's attorney is unsure if this could be used in the trial, but it isn't even the first time the man has confessed. Prosecutors say Updyke used an alias to call a local radio show, the Paul Finebaum show, and bragged about poisoning the trees.

OKAY, ONE MORE .....
A security guard at The Menil Collection in Houston, who was too busy yelling at a visitor taking a video to realize that the person was trying to tape a vandal spray-painting over a Picasso behind the guard.
