Two Poplar Bluff men have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery. Poplar Bluff police responded to a call at Casey’s General Store. When they arrived employees told the officers two black males wearing hooded sweatshirts and bandannas produced what appeared to be a hand gun and stole about 200-dollars from the register. The men then fled on foot. A k-9 unit responded and tracked the suspects to a nearby parking lot where they found tire marks leading to nearby residence. 22-year old Chaddrick Smith and 20-year old Kwamae Triplett were arrested and charged with 1st degree robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. They are being held in the Butler County Jail.
