Sep 13, 2012 -- 4:22pm

Two men are recovering from minor injuries after a plane crash in Cape Girardeau. Just after noon Thursday Cape Police and Fire Department responded to the airport for a two seater plane that crashed while doing maneuvers for the airport’s upcoming open house.  The plane, a PT-19, is a World War 2 era craft and is one of many that will be on display September 22nd.  Cape Regional Airport Manager Bruce Loy tells KZIM-KSIM the pilot was letting the passenger experience what the pilot will be doing in the show. The two men refused immediate medical assistance but were later transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.  Loy adds the FAA will investigate the incident to determine the cause of the crash.  The airport will still have their open house, which is free and open to the public, on the 22nd
