A Cape man is in custody after an alleged stealing incident in Scott County. According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter the act occurred Thursday morning. A man confronted the suspect in front of his property. The suspect ran from the area and hid in a nearby cornfield leaving a bicycle behind. The Highway Patrol, Miner Police and Sheriff’s office located and arrested the suspect and discovered evidence of possible other thefts in the area. Investigation into the case revealed 11 vehicles had been unlawfully entered into the area and multiple items stolen. A majority of the property was returned to the owners. 20-year old Curtis Williams remains in Scott County Jail on a 1-thousand dollar cash only bond.
