The Perry County Military History Museum's new Wall of Honor in Perryville City Park will be dedicated tomorrow/Saturday. Board Vice President, Mike Lundy tells KZIM/KSIM the Wall was two years in the making and started as way to raise money, but after realizing there were so many fallen and veterans who had not been honored, decided it needed to be a way to celebrate their lives. Four soldiers—Raymond Fordyce, who died in 1966; Gary Ernst, a casualty of the fighting in 1967; and Thomas Loos and Darrell Lintner, who died in 1968—are depicted in a granite etching that will be the center piece of the wall created by Farmington artist Kevin Hale. The wall is made of cultured stone supplied by Semco Stone of Perryville and built by local contractor Duane Ernst, Gary Ernst's brother. Brewer Monument of Perryville did the engraving. The ceremony will be at 10 a.m.
