Apr 14, 2014 -- 5:06pm

Cape Girardeau Police say a Sikeston man is in custody in connection to the March shooting on South Benton outside a daycare.  Public Information Officer, Darin Hickey tells KZIM/KSIM 27-year old Terrance Vance was arrested recently by the Missouri Highway Patrol for one count of unlawful use of a weapon.  Police responded to the 400 block of Benton March 7th around 1:00pm officers for a report of shots fired.  Officers located a residence that was being used as a daycare, which had sustained damage from what they believed to be from a bullet going through a window and striking a wall inside the residence. He is currently in custody at the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Department, with a $25,000 bond.
