The Cape County Sheriff’s Office is hoping Money Talks when it comes to solving a recent rash of burglaries and car break-ins throughout Jackson. The County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund board has voted to offer a 5-thousand-dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the parties responsible. Jackson Lieutenant Rodney Barnes tells KZIM KSIM most of these thieves are striking over night, in all part of town. Barnes says during some of the residential burglaries, the homeowner is present in the early morning hours. They are scouring through cars left unlocked, taking electronics, phones, cash, and other property visible inside. If you have any information, call 243-3551 or 243-3151.
