The former head football coach at Poplar Bluff High School will be back in a Butler County courtroom in August for burglary and stealing charges. 39-year-old Shane Kearbey is charged with felony stealing for allegedly taking 11-hundred-dollars in checks and cash from a football fundraising account from August to October 2010. He is also charged with first-degree burglary for allegedly breaking into the home of a former girlfriend in June 2011. Kearbey has posted 100-thousand-dollars bond. He pled not guilty before Judge Michael Pritchett in Poplar Bluff. Kearbey has a trial setting hearing August 7th. He resigned as head coach November 1st, 2010.
