A Naylor man will spend the next year in federal prison for flying an aircraft without a valid license. 62-year-old Rodger Seratt was sentenced Monday to 13-months on one felony count of making false statements and two counts of operating an aircraft with a revoked license. Seratt admitted his airman’s certificate was revoked in 1996. He tried to get that reinstated in 2010 and falsely claimed his license was never taken away. In September 2011, agents detected an unidentified aircraft in flight in Kansas. Seratt admitted it was his and he had flown to California three days earlier. Seratt will serve 2-years probation after his prison term.
