Governor Rick Perry of Texas still has a large following, despite dropping out of the Presidential race. The Republican will be in Cape Girardeau Friday to hold a campaign rally with Republican candidate for state attorney general Ed Martin. The former presidential candidate will speak at an event in Kansas City earlier in the day. He joins Martin for a public rally at 5:30 PM at the A-C Brase Arena Building. It is free but a ticket is required to enter. The Martin campaign has already issued 2-thosuand tickets to the event. Martin tells KZIM KSIM he shares many of Perry’s ideals. Martin says Governor Perry showed in his presidential bid that he relates well with conservatives who want smaller government and are against intrusions like Obamacare. You can get a ticket to the rally by calling the Martin campaign at 314-256-1776. Ed Martin is running against Adam Warren in the August 7th primary, trying to unseat incumbent Chris Koster in November.
