The businesses in Jackson are preparing for the city’s 200th anniversary with a special tour. Jackson Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Brian Gerau tells KZIM/KSIM the ever Business and Community Tour will be June 7th. He says they wanted to make sure that community and region were able to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes in the city as part of the bicentennial celebration. The day will get started at the Jackson High School parking lot at 8 a.m., but Gerau says you may want to be a little early as you will be loading buses to visit the places on the tour. Among the stops will be Oliver House, Old McKendree Chapel, several ag stops, Liberty Utilities, Mondi of Jackson, and Rubbermaid. Jackson Tire and Bank of Missouri are sponsoring a free lunch. For more information call the Chamber 243-8131.
