The National Guard 11-38^th Engineer Company from Farmington and Fredricktown are preparing for deployment to Afghanistan.  They have been training at Camp Clark in Missouri for pre-mobilization.  In early July the company will travel to Fort Bliss, Texas to train in situations similar to what they will encounter while deployed.  Squad Leader Staff Sergeant Lawrence Johnson will be in his fifth deployment to the Middle East.  He tells KZIM-KSIM he is ready to work closely with his team. July 7^th the squadron will hold a send off event at the Mineral Area College campus in Park Hills at 11 AM.  The public is invited to attend.
