The Cape Girardeau Public Works Department has released their water quality report for 2011. The chart provides results from the analytical water samples taken from the system throughout last year. It shows the Public Works Department has stayed compliant with the standards and regulations set. Water Systems Manager Kevin Priester tells KZIM-KSIM there will be a change in next year’s survey. Well water is softer and easier to process. The water system can pump up to 10 million gallons a day. With extreme heat Public Works is urging you to conserve water where you can.
