Texas Governor Rick Perry expected to draw over 2-thousand people in Cape

Jun 29, 2012 -- 11:31am

Governor Rick Perry of Texas still has a large following, despite dropping out of the Presidential race.  The Republican will be in Cape Girardeau tonight to hold a campaign rally with Republican candidate for state attorney general Ed Martin.  Perry joins Martin for a public rally at 5:30 PM at the A-C Brase Arena Building.  It is free but a ticket is required to enter.  The Martin campaign has already issued 2-thousand tickets to the event.  Martin tells KZIM KSIM he shares many of Perry’s ideals.  The rally includes a performance by Neal E Boyd and speeches from Peter Kinder, Jo Ann Emerson, Lloyd Smith, and John Hancock.  You can get a ticket to the rally by calling the Martin campaign at 314-256-1776.  Ed Martin is running against Adam Warren in the August 7th primary, trying to unseat incumbent Chris Koster in November.
