Missouri Lottery proceeds to public education in the past year were the highest ever, beating the previous fiscal year by nearly 8 percent.  On Thursday they transferred 17 point 3 million dollar reaching a final total of 280-million dollars.  These funds represent approximately 4 point 25 percent of the annual funding required for Missouri’s public education system.  Lottery Spokeswoman Susan Goedde tells KZIM-KSIM people are surprised to find out how much money goes back to the public. Starting next week the lottery will up your chances to win with Jackpot July.
