Cape Girardeau Police are still investigating a shooting overnight in south Cape.  Police responded to a call in the 400 Block of Hanover St.  When they arrived they found a 20 year old male with a gunshot wound to his leg.  He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Patrolman Darrin Hickey tells KZIM-KSIM they learned what caused the gunshot. Police continue their search for the suspect.  He was described to police as a young, black male who was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.  There is no word on the victim’s current condition.
