A Union County man is dead after being hit by a train.  Illinois State Police say 49-year-old Jeffrey Kelley of Anna, was struck by a Canadian National freight train at around 10:45 PM Sunday.  It happened 560 feet south of Main Street in Anna.   Kelley was taken to Union County Hospital in critical condition and transferred to Saint Louis but later died from his injuries.  Illinois State Police continue to investigate but do confirm alcohol was involved.  They took a box of beer cans from the scene.  There were 160 cars on the train but none derailed.  The intersection was opened to traffic overnight.
