The long string of hot dry days may be forcing more people to the turnstiles at Cape Splash Family Aquatic Center this summer. Paid admissions have been up drastically since the water park opened for the season May 26th. Officials report 34-thousand-227 people have attended, far higher than the 25-thousand-800 at this time last year. Cape Splash Rec supervisor Amy Roth tells KZIM KSIM people are finding out this park has what they need to cool off! Roth says daily concession receipts are also up this summer, thanks to some new items added to the menu like Smoothies and refillable tumblers for soft drinks. Cape Splash is open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM on North Kingshighway. It features a lazy river, slides, leisure pool, lounge chairs, changing rooms, and lockers. Adults are 6-dollars and kids 5-dollars per day.
