Giddy up — it’s a rip roarin’ fun time as a local church raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!

Sep 28, 2012 -- 5:36pm

The Cape County Cowboy Church has been doing an annual horseback riding event for four years. The “Saddle Up” trail ride will now become a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Coordinator Marilyn Kneir says a 20-dollar participation fee for the 8 and a half mile trail will benefit local kids who seek treatment at St. Jude. She tells KZIM KSIM this Sunday, registration begins at 10-30am followed by some home cooked vittles at the starting location… at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit. Signs will guide you to the location on Highway F. Just bring your own horses or wagon team! Kids five and under can join the ride for free. You may also just have dinner at the starting point, Immanuel Lutheran, in Tilsit, for 9-dollars.
