A former national park employee sentenced for video voyeurism

Oct 01, 2012 -- 12:39pm

A Shannon County man has been sentenced to federal prison following a case of video voyeurism.  On Friday July 30th, 2010 a 16 year old female was using the shower facility on the Ozark National Scenic Riverways campground.  While in the shower the female noticed a cell phone light coming from an auxiliary drain located just above the floor and beneath the showerhead.  As she reached for it the phone was pulled from the drain.  32-year old Randon Crane of Summersville admitted to taking the photos.  He was a maintenance employee with the park.  Crane appeared before Judge Lewis Blanton Friday in Cape Girardeau.  He has been sentenced to three months in federal prison for video voyeurism.  Since the victim was a minor he will also have to register as a sex offender for 15 years.
