In memory of her father — a local woman has started a golf tournament to raise money to fight what took him from her

Alzheimer’s research is crossing new horizons. This is important news especially to Jill Braswell. She has created a new fundraiser to assist in the efforts of the organization, in the form of an inaugural golf Tournament. Braswell tells KZIM KSIM Monday the 18th at Kimbeland Country Club, teams of 4 will play 18 holes beginning with a shotgun start after lunch. Tee time is 1 o’clock. She tells KZIM KSIM why this is such a passion for her… "I lost my father to this last year and he had three siblings who also passed from it so it is very important to me and I will continue to do this." Braswell says there are still a few openings and she has one person looking for three more to form a team. There are the usual contests plus door prizes, raffles, and an auction. Call her to sign up at 450-5544. All profits go directly to Alzheimer’s research.
