Cape County Republican Women educate you on Prop-A

Oct 03, 2012 -- 2:31pm

The Cape County Republican Women’s Club this week will answer the question “What is Prop-A and how does it impact out-state Missouri?”  The initiative is on the November 6th ballot statewide.  It asks voters whether or not control of Saint Louis city police should return to the people or stay under the umbrella of state government.  It’s one of three petitions that made it to the general election ballot.  Dave Berry with the Safer Missouri Citizen’s Coalition will be in Cape Friday to present the facts on Prop-A.  He will speak at the Women’s Club meeting at Dexter BBQ at noon.  Club president Holly Lintner tells KZIM KSIM there are several important issues on the ballot that are being overshadowed by the Presidential election.  Locally, State Rep Donna Lichtenegger and Cape Mayor Harry Rediger have endorsed Prop-A.  You will also vote on Prop-B and E next month, to raise the state’s tobacco tax and establishing health insurance exchanges.
