A suspect wanted for the beating death of a Bismarck man has a new hearing later this month! 28-year-old Jason Roberts of Leadwood was arrested in January in St. Louis, charged with murder in the second degree. He is accused of beating Michael Sirclum at his home in Bismarck Christmas Eve, 2011. Sirclum was taken to a local hospital, where he died December 28th from head trauma. Sirclum's wife told police that Roberts hit her husband in the head and knocked him to the ground. Roberts claims it was self-defense. He pled not guilty before Judge Kenneth Pratte and has a trial setting and bond reduction hearing on the 19th in Farmington.
