DOT Transportation will open a satellite center in Sikeston

Oct 08, 2012 -- 3:07pm

The nation’s largest food re-distributor is opening a satellite location in Sikeston this month, bringing with it about 20 new truck driver jobs to the area.  DOT Transportation, a subsidiary of DOT Foods, is in the process of hiring new drivers at the location on Harlene Drive, just off exit-66 on I-55.  Drivers from the nearest distribution center drop off shipments at the satellite location and local drivers pick them up and deliver them to customers.  DOT spokesman Tim Loyd tells KZIM KSIM this is one way they are filling a major void.  Loyd says they pride themselves as a top-notch trucking company, where drivers make an average of 65-thousand-dollars per year and earn benefits like health, dental, vision, and 401-K.  DOT was founded in 1960 in Mount Sterling, Illinois.  You can apply for the jobs at 1-800-366-3687 or visit dotfoods-dot-com.
