Cape Girardeau residents can show their support tomorrow for a new proposition aimed at improving health and supporting public schools in Missouri. The Prop B Bus tour will stop at Capaha Park for a rally on the initiative. It will raise cigarette taxes by 73-cents per pack and increase taxes on other tobacco products. A majority of the money raised will go back into the public education system. Show-Me A Brighter Future Spokesperson Misty Snodgrass tells KZIM-KSIM they are already experiencing a lot of support. Prop B will generate $283-million in new revenue annually. 80-percent of money raised will be put back into Missouri’s public schools, colleges and universities. The rally begins at 9:30 AM and will have a series of local leaders to speak. Learn more at www.ShowMeABrighterFuture.com.
