A Stoddard County man behind bars for allegedly shooting his son in Catron pleads not guilty. 40-year-old Charles Goforth was arrested May 5th on 2nd-degree murder and armed criminal action. Detectives interviewed residents and found Goforth shot his son, 20-year-old Patrick, once in the head with a handgun. Patrick was rushed to Missouri Delta Medical Center and pronounced dead. Charles was under the influence of Bath Salts at the time of the murder and remains jailed on a 750-thousand-dollar cash only bond. Goforth pleaded not guilty Wednesday before Judge Stephen Sharp and has a hearing December 19th.
