Poplar Bluff police have one man in custody and still searching for another in a shooting case. Around 9:30 PM police responded to the 13-hundred block of North Main Street in reference to a fight with shots fired. When they arrived they found Joshua Leader lying on the dining room floor with a gunshot wound to his upper back. Poplar Bluff Police Captain David Sutton tells KZIM-KSIM the injury was sustained while the victim was fleeing. Leader informed police he was shot by Dimitri Dudley. Witnesses told officers the dispute concerned a relationship involving a woman who was with both Leader and Michael Thomas. Both Dudley and Thomas fled before police arrived. Thomas is in custody charged with First Degree Burglary, Armed Criminal Action and First Degree Assault.
