A suspect wanted for the beating death of a Bismarck man has a trial setting hearing in December.  28-year-old Jason Roberts of Leadwood was arrested in January in St. Louis, charged with 2^nd-degree murder.  He is accused of beating Michael Sirclum at his home in Bismarck Christmas Eve, 2011.  Sirclum was taken to a local hospital, where he died December 28^th from head trauma.  Sirclum's wife told police that Roberts hit her husband in the head and knocked him to the ground.  Roberts claims it was self-defense.  He pled not guilty before Judge Kenneth Pratte and has a trial setting and bond reduction hearing December 5^th in Farmington.
