A suspect wanted for the beating death of a Bismarck man has a trial setting hearing in December. 28-year-old Jason Roberts of Leadwood was arrested in January in St. Louis, charged with 2nd-degree murder. He is accused of beating Michael Sirclum at his home in Bismarck Christmas Eve, 2011. Sirclum was taken to a local hospital, where he died December 28th from head trauma. Sirclum's wife told police that Roberts hit her husband in the head and knocked him to the ground. Roberts claims it was self-defense. He pled not guilty before Judge Kenneth Pratte and has a trial setting and bond reduction hearing December 5th in Farmington.
