Next week ghosts, princesses and more will be filling the streets all in search of candy.  Union County officials are reminding you to have fun this Halloween but to remain safe.  When planning your trick-or-treat route this year they encourage you to review the Illinois Sex Offender and Registry.  Union County State’s Attorney Tyler Edmonds tells KZIM-KSIM it is their way to help families protect themselves. Currently there are 43 sex offenders registered in Union County.  The Sheriff’s office will be conducting sex offender compliance checks Halloween night.  You can review the registry by visiting ISP.State.IL.US.
